On Nov 18, in a new court filing, seven more women have come forward to file a complaint of unwanted sexual touching by Cuba Gooding Jr. in addition to his current New York case.
The Oscar-winning actor has been charged for unwanted touching, groping, and kissing other women without their consent.
According to E! News, the prosecutors have pleaded to the court that the said allegations should be used during the trial as a form of evidence of the Jerry Maguire actor’s intent and the lack of absence or mistake.
The recent allegations go back to as early as 2003 and it also includes allegations from a lady who accompanied Gooding Jr. to a concert in the year 2009.
Post her visit to the concert, the woman has alleged Gooding Jr. of forcibly trying to kiss her in a private place without taking her consent. When the woman tried to push him away and said a no, the actor had pushed his hands forcefully into the crotch area of her tights while putting his fingers on her anus. Moreover, the alleged had applied so much force that it caused the crotch of her tights to tear apart, the prosecutors revealed.
However, the defendant pleaded not guilty by saying that he had immediately released the woman when she the later had bitten him hard on his cheek which made him recoil and grabs his cheek.
The lawyers had a different approach to the incident and elaborated on how the actor had repeatedly been doing the same thing for years now. They said that his current incidents are very much similar to his initial incidents from which it can be well derived that Gooding Jr. reportedly tries to approach women specifically at bars or nightclubs, with women he had limited or no prior interaction and henceforward tries to ouch them at inappropriately.
They also added that all his acts very clearly reveals that he trying to come in touch with the opposite sex’s intimate parts is only intentional and is nowhere near to being accidental and that too without their consent.
Back in 2011 in Atlanta, Gooding Jr. had reportedly been accused of sliding his hands down the inside of another woman’s pants and grabbing her buttocks without her consent.
Moreover, after the lady tried to confront him for his disgusting attitude, he shrugged her off by saying that he well knows about her dream to be an actress and that he can instantly ruin that.
According to globalnews.com, there are several other stories where Gooding Jr. has been accused of misconduct with women. Another such instance was in 2016, at Café Havana in Malibu, Calif where Gooding Jr. had told a woman and her friend that they are supposed to excrete on him that night.
In December 2018, at the same place, the American Horror Story actor had allegedly told the same woman the same thing all over again.
The whole thing will conclude when the judge will put forward its decision at a later date on whether or not the new claims can be used against Gooding Jr.
To cover up for his deeds, Mark Heller, who is Cuba Gooding Jr.’s lawyer has denied all such allegations against the actor and also remarked that several people come out of the woodwork and make such false allegations against Cuba. This is very normal when a celebrity gets accused by the district attorney’s office in a public forum.
Heller continued to defend Gooding Jr. by saying that all the false and uncharged allegations which have been offered by the district attorney’s office are so stale and outdated, and also lack details that the defendant finds it useless to defend against them. Therefore all this fiasco is just a method taken by the district attorney’s office to gain an advantage against the defendant and is not for any sort of probative value.
Being accused of a similar incident in late October, Gooding Jr. was pleaded not guilty of the allegation from a new accuser in his New York City sexual misconduct case.
The prosecutors came back with a fitting reply and said that there are several more women who are ready to testify that Gooding Jr. had been doing similar groping activities for over the years now.
All such allegations including the three more allegations in recent weeks have led to the arrest of the 51-year old actor in June.
According to reports from Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance, all these charges cropped up from an alleged incident that took place on September 9, 2018, at Lavo nightclub in Manhattan.
Talking of his previous sexual misconduct, the Boyz n the Hood actor was earlier accused with charged against sexual harassment when he touched a woman’s breasts at Magic Hour Rooftop Bar and Lounge in Manhattan on June 9, 2019, and also pinching a woman’s buttocks at the TAO nightclub, which is also located in Manhattan, in October 2018.
Although Gooding Jr. was pleaded not guilty to those charges on October 15, 2019, he was also known to have involved in another alleged incident in New Orleans in the year 2012. In this case, a bartender had claimed that the actor was reportedly extremely agitated with the patrons who wanted photos with him and that he had pushed her when she asked him to leave. However, the bartender refused to press charges when an arrest warrant was issued.
Cuba Gooding Jr. has reportedly denied all allegations pressed against him and has marked himself free on his recognizance. He has a due back in court on January 22.
