(YourDigitalWall Editorial):- Fort Lauderdale, Florida Jun 17, 2021 (Issuewire.com) – New this year, South Florida nonprofit Kids In Distress (KID) is offering the chance to win a million dollars to one lucky supporter of the 15th Annual KID Duck Fest Derby presented by JM Family Enterprises, Inc., a fundraising event in which adults aged 18+ have the chance to win cash, vacations, and other great prizes when they adopt a $5 rubber duck for the benefit of 20,000+ South Florida children and families served by KID. Duck adoption is going on now until June 25 at DuckFestDerby.org.
This million-dollar twist on Duck Fest Derby’s usual $10,000 grand prize has supporters quacking with excitement, as every duck they adopt gives them a chance to win the biggest prize the event has ever seen. If one of the preselected Becker Family Million Dollar Ducks comes in first in the virtual race/sweepstakes, the owner of the duck will win a million dollars rather than $10,000. Currently, 19,758 of 40,000 ducks remain available for adoption.

This prospective prize brings a thrilling “who wants to be a millionaire” vibe to this year’s Duck Fest. “My family and I love KID and its mission. The chance to win $1,000,000 is exciting and inspiring!” said Bob Becker, of The Becker Family Foundation. “When we heard about that sponsorship opportunity, we jumped on it. It’s great to think that with only $5, you can make a difference in the life of a child and possibly win a great prize – including the chance to win a million dollars!”
All funds raised will directly meet the needs of the most vulnerable children and families in the community, making every duck a winner. “It is an honor to support our long-term partners at Kids In Distress as they provide counseling, health services, and programs to preserve families in South Florida,” said Brent Burns, president, and CEO of JM Family. “The work that KID does in our community is tremendous, and we are thrilled to play a small part in those efforts. As the presenting sponsor of the 15th Annual KID Virtual Duck Fest Derby, we hope to bring additional awareness to this vital organization and the services they provide.”
Duck Fest Derby counts on the generous support of local businesses. KID extends its gratitude to JM Family Enterprises, Inc., Mike Sipe Entertainment, Events, & Production, Wiring.com, The Venue Fort Lauderdale, Sawyer & Latimer P.A., Brown & Brown Insurance, Publix, Lesley Mitchell Jones, The Becker Family, Heal the Planet, the Leo Goodwin Foundation, Mark & Carmen Johnson, Aviah Flagler Village, Bridge Industrial, Exquisite Catering, BankUnited, Southeast Landscape Management, The Computer Guyz, The Galleria Mall at Fort Lauderdale, Republic National Distributing Company, and Rob Sadowsky Events for sponsoring the event.
The inspiring and fun-filled celebration will stream online on June 30, 2021, at 6:30 pm on Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube, as KID shares its mission and announces the winners of the virtual race/lottery during Duckpalooza LIVE. Simply follow @kidsindistress to join in the Duckpalooza fun!
