(YourDigitalWall Editorial):- Baltimore, Maryland Mar 3, 2022 (Issuewire.com) – NKrypt, Inc. was awarded a contract by the Space Development Agency for a Mesh Network NSA Certifiable Cryptographic Solution. NKrypt will develop a prototype mesh network cryptographic solution for Optical Intersatellite Links (OISL) in low earth orbit (LEO) that incorporates significant low size, weight, and power (SWaP).
The 1-year period of performance is a Phase I SBIR STTR award with a total value of $250,000. Under this phase of the contract, NKrypt, Inc will demonstrate a transformational architecture that will deliver high-speed encrypted communications across the mesh network. The anticipated benefits of the NKrypt solution are high speed ad-hoc crypto-net establishment, multi-level security options, cryptographic agility and diversity, limitation of radiation effects, and latency and throughput optimization.
The NKrypt team has decades of unique experience in secure communications, network security, key management, multi-level security, and hardware development in both DoD and commercial environments.
Neil Kittleson, CEO of NKrypt added, “NKrypt is excited to be working in partnership with the Space Development Agency to establish this first of its kind satellite mesh encryption solution by bringing the best ideas, technology, and security concepts found in industry and academia to the challenge.”
“Lynx continues to extend its longstanding partnership with NKrypt that has focused on use cases that demand the most strict security and safety requirements”, said Pavan Singh VP Product Management, “as part of this project on building out the mesh encryption solution with Space Development Agency, Lynx is contributing the knowledge of LynxSecure separation kernel, a fundamental, foundational element proven across multiple secure, updatable, connected mission-critical systems”
NKrypt is proud to be teamed with Howard University, Lynx Software Solutions, and Pernix Consulting on this effort.
