There’s More To Korean Culture Than Squid Game
(YourDigitalWall Editorial):- New York City, New York Aug 26, 2022 (Issuewire.com) – As 750,000 travelers passed through Grand Central Station, one man looked at a package of seaweed and smiled. The man is Mike Drake, and he is the Honored K-Food Ambassador. He is smiling because Grand Central’s famous Vanderbilt Hall had been taken over by Discover Your Korea.
The New York Office of the Korea Tourism Organization organized Discover Your Korea, a special event where you could experience everything you would on a trip to Korea.
Activities included a chance to take pictures while wearing Hanbok, hair and makeup K-Beauty products, digital photo exhibitions of 200 Korean actors (including “Squid Game” star Lee Jungjae and Academy Award-winning Youn Yuhjung of “Minari”), Jeong Kwan Master of Korean Temple Food and of Netflix’s “Chef’s Table” fame, was also in attendance to give lectures, demonstrations, and samplings of Korean Temple Food.
Honored k-Food Ambassador Mike Drake was on hand to discuss the joys of Korean food with attendees and to remind them to become K-Food Supporter. As he hugged a Korean mascot Drake exclaimed “The only thing I love more than Korean food is telling people about K-Food!’ Supporters who register at kfoodsupporters.com will receive a welcome box, gain access to exclusive events, and have a chance to win a $1,000.00 USD prize after completing a series of missions.
Attendees were also able to view an amazing demonstration of skill by Kukkiwon’s Taekwondo Demonstration Team and pose with costumed mascots.
