Gummakonda Reddy Foundation is proud to collaborate with Lotus House for their Miami Holiday Community Event.
In the spirit of the holidays, Gummakonda Reddy Foundation will distribute toys to 260 children in Lotus Village and 300 toys to a local Overtown community, Lotus House is also providing food care packages, drinks, and personal care packages. The event is geared toward kids and families in the surrounding area.
“It’s always our goal to make sure that we help to take care of the community, and what better way to do that this holiday season than to create an opportunity to help families put smiles on the faces of their children,” said Shekar Reddy, founder of Gummakonda Reddy Foundation, Since its formation in 2011 foundation has raised over $1.3million dollars of their own funding, helping global and local catastrophes and issues supporting women and children. Since 2016 Gummakonda has organized an annual Secret Santa event where the foundation has paid off unpaid toys on a Layaway plan from stores like Kmart and Walmart.
Gummakonda Reddy Foundation is also Distributing 100 backpacks to the South Florida Homeless community containing Blankets, Underwear, Socks, T-shirts, Target Gift cards, and Hygiene products. Foundation is also distributing Gift cards to select families in need in Broward county.
Shekar and Shylaja Reddy husband and wife are local business owners in South Florida for the past 30 years. Through their business and non-profit, they focused a lot of efforts on helping families and giving back to the community. Over the years, they have hosted several events to create a positive impact on South Florida Families in need.
