Renowned producer and artist Quazedelic, known for his work with industry heavyweights like Snoop Dogg, Sir Mix-a-Lot, and George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic, is set to release his much-anticipated album after three years in the making. The album, a seamless blend of Funk and Hip-Hop, delves into a variety of themes ranging from current world events and self-awareness to party anthems that are guaranteed to make listeners groove.
The upcoming album features notable collaborations with icons such as George Clinton and Snoop Dogg on the track “We are One,” showcasing the unity and connection between people in a turbulent world. The introspective hit “Fading” highlights Quazedelic’s struggle with self-doubt and procrastination, and his determination to overcome these challenges. The song also touches on end times and apocalyptic events, such as the Mothership’s arrival during the Rapture and the world being hit by a comet.
Quazedelic’s album also addresses contemporary issues, with his P-Funk esque’ jam “WhiteNoize” which touches on the Ohio train derailment in East Palestine and the motives behind the controlled burn and the uncanny coincidence to the Netflix film “White noise” which was released a couple months before the train derailment and explosion which released toxic chemicals into the rural town of Ohio, just 25 miles from Quaze’s Recording Studio located in Austintown. Fans can look forward to the upbeat party track, “Big Ole’ But,” which pays homage to LL Cool J’s 1989 hit of the same name and incorporates elements of P-Funk and Digital Underground, as a nod to the late Shock G.
Scheduled for release in the summer of 2023, this album is Quazedelic’s most ambitious and funkiest fusion of Hip-Hop, R&B, and Funk to date. Featuring guest producers C-Fly, Aaron EVO, and Mofak from France, the record promises a rich and diverse sonic experience. The album will be independently released on Quazedelic’s own label, 3rd Door Records, now based in the Funk capital state of Ohio.
