WHAT IS A PLAY READING?

Play readings are opportunities for community members/audiences/thespians to give feedback on new plays. CSP Cold Reading online events are curated by Gretchen Suárez-Peña. These readings are fun “first-time” readings that allow the audience and writer to hear new edits of a script.

CSP Bluelight Series in-person events at Flushing Town Hall are curated by Magaly Colimon-Christopher. These readings are presented after a playwright collaborates with a director, cast, and dramaturg to explore a script in preparation for sharing the new work with an audience.
