Rising multi-genre musician Tray Davis presents his exceptional singing dexterity through his melodically rich compositions in his recently released EP Dark Ways.
Mixing pop with hip hop has proved to be a great experiment forming rhythmic cadence of stunning possibilities. Multi-genre music artist Tray Davis has been the most successful blending the two top genres delivering quality music to his fans. His latest EP Dark Ways consists of 10 unforgettable lyrical ballads that opened my mind to the contemporary music breaking free of all the stereotypes. The songs like ‘Devil on Vacation’, ‘Lee Sun’, ‘ZAF’, ‘Gin for My sins’, and ‘Hazards’ from the EP has a distinct upbeat flair that you’ll rarely catch in other musical compositions. I was extremely impressed with the smart lyrical arrangements of the tracks that have certain eloquence to it.
Originally from Florida, Tray Davis now resides in California, from where he creates his magical soundscape. The EP Dark Ways showcases his tremendous improvement at the whole aesthetics of the production since his debut EP Urgent Care, in my opinion. The songs such as ‘In Bad Health’, ‘Less Than Bestfriends’, ‘Ratchet Models’, ‘Scumbags’, and ‘Daphne’ from the latest EP astonished me with their charismatic balance between his soulful singing and the retro sound orchestrated through dynamic chord arrangements. The EP is available on major streaming platforms. Make sure to follow him on Instagram for more updates.
