Practicing since 1999, Noel graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas as part of one of the institution’s final bachelor’s degree cohorts in physical therapy. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to delivering individualized, patient-centered care while adapting to the evolving needs of the rehabilitation profession.
Today, Noel primarily works with patients in long-term care and outpatient rehabilitation, treating individuals with complex rehabilitation needs in skilled nursing environments. His passion for caring for older adults has become the defining focus of his career.
“I started to like seeing the little grandmas and grandpas in long-term care. The feedback you get and the job gratification you get from that is wonderful. It’s really rewarding to work with elderly patients and see the positive impact you can make in their lives. That’s what drew me into long-term care and kept me there for the last 10 to 15 years,” says Noel.
Noel began his physical therapy career in sports medicine, providing outpatient orthopedic care in physician clinics throughout Round Rock, Georgetown, and the greater Austin area. During his early years in practice, he also developed expertise in wound care and burn rehabilitation, contributing to the implementation of vacuum-assisted closure (VAC) therapy across healthcare facilities in both Dallas and Central Texas.
As his career evolved, Noel found his greatest professional fulfillment in long-term care, where he has spent much of the past decade helping older adults recover from illness, injury, and surgery. His work focuses on improving strength, mobility, balance, and functional independence, enabling patients to achieve meaningful improvements in their daily lives.
Noel’s path into healthcare was anything but conventional. Before becoming a physical therapist, he spent 18 years working as a mail carrier in Fort Worth, Texas. Motivated by a desire to make a greater impact on people’s lives, he returned to school and embarked on a second career that has since touched countless patients and families.
Beyond traditional rehabilitation, Noel has expanded his knowledge through coursework at Functional Medicine University and has maintained a personal interest in nutrition, regenerative wellness, and integrative approaches to health. While these interests complement his broader understanding of wellness, his clinical practice remains grounded in evidence-based physical therapy and individualized patient care.
Now partially retired, Noel continues to work part-time, bringing decades of clinical experience, compassion, and dedication to every patient he serves. His enduring commitment to rehabilitation and his passion for helping older adults maintain independence continue to make a meaningful difference throughout the Central Texas community.
