Controversial MAGA activist Valentina Gomez caused a major disturbance at a peaceful Muslim rally held at the Texas State Capitol this week. The event was intended to promote unity and raise awareness about Muslim rights and issues. However, it was disrupted when Gomez aggressively stormed the stage. She forcefully grabbed the microphone from the event organizers and launched into a loud and hate-filled rant targeting the Muslim community. Her remarks were inflammatory and deeply offensive. They ended up sparking immediate shock and outrage among those in attendance. The remarks also cause Gomez hearing chanting of “boo” from the audience.
In a powerful display of solidarity and resilience, rally participants quickly responded by chanting “Allahu Akbar” in unison. Their collective voices rose above the hate, drowning out Gomez’s speech and turning the moment into one of unity and strength. The crowd’s peaceful but firm reaction showed their refusal to be silenced or intimidated by acts of intolerance. The incident has since drawn widespread criticism and renewed calls for respect, inclusion, and protection of free speech and religious freedom.
The video footage from the incident shows Gomez interrupting the rally and raising her voice as she declared, “Islam is the religion of r*pe, in**st and p**op**ilia where they bow down to a stupid rock and a false prophet… I will NEVER let Sharia Law take over Texas.” “This is a Christian nation. There are 57 Muslim nations,” Gomez added before coming off the stage. Shortly after the event, she proudly posted her actions on social media with the caption, “Islam hasno place in Texas. Help me to Congress so we can end the Islamization of America. I only fear God.”
Far-right activist and New York Times best-selling author Brigitte Gabriel weighed in. She said, “I hope you have good security,” to which Gomez responded, “Whoever they send to come after me, will not be going back.” Another controversial MAGA activist, Laura Loomer supported her actions and said, “GO GIRL!! Love this!” “You in the White House and me in Congress is what America needs,” Gomez replied swiftly.
Valentina Gomez is a Colombian-American real estate investor who was born in Medellín, Colombia, on May 8, 1999. She moved to the United States in 2009 and grew up in Jersey City, New Jersey. In 2024, she ran for Missouri Secretary of State. However, her campaign did not gain much political traction or serious support. Instead of focusing on policies, her campaign drew attention to controversial and offensive actions.
According to multiple news sources, Gomez made headlines for burning LGBTQ+ books and making hateful comments. One video showed her jogging through an LGBTQ+ neighborhood, telling people not to be “weak and gay”. This sparked major backlash online and in the media. Her run for office became known more for these stunts than for any real political message. While she tried to appeal to far-right voters, her actions were widely criticized and did little to help her chances in the election.
