After completing his pediatric residency at Ponce District Hospital, Dr. Diaz Colon began his career in private practice in Corozal and Manatí, Puerto Rico. At the same time, he maintained a strong presence in hospital-based pediatric care, serving as an attending physician at institutions such as Manatí Medical Center and Doctors’ Center Hospital. Throughout his career, he has played a key role in the development and advancement of pediatric emergency services and neonatal intensive care programs, helping ensure that young patients receive timely and specialized treatment.
Dr. Diaz Colon’s passion for pediatrics is deeply rooted in the meaningful connections he builds with his patients and their families. “I love what I do. Children do not understand pain nor the processes of recovery. A dedicated educator, Dr. Diaz Colon has also contributed to the training of future physicians as a proctor for San Juan Bautista Medical School and Ponce Medical School.
