The phase runs until May 17 and gives 200 selected players exclusive access to a competition played entirely on Meta Quest 3 and 3S.
This Closed Beta marks the first public milestone on VSSoccer’s roadmap toward its global launch planned for late 2026. Competitions are structured as a league format with a $1,000 USD cash prize pool for the top three finishers.
The final of the competitive event will take place on May 17 at a time to be announced through the official Discord, in a round-robin format that will determine the final standings and the winners.

What is VSSoccer?
VSSoccer is the first native VR sport. Every match puts the player at the centre of a goal-versus-goal game, attacking and defending simultaneously. The mechanics force you to reinvent how a goal is scored: reflexes, anticipation, and reading your opponent. It doesn’t simulate football. It defines its own category within the Meta platform.
Beta game modes
The Beta will activate three game modes from May 9 to 17: two competitive and one open access.
RISE CUP — 1vs1 (Closes May 17)
Head-to-head online matches against other participants where every game defines your place in the rankings. Precision, reflexes, game awareness, and composure in a VR environment built to push competition beyond traditional football. Every duel matters. Every goal leaves a mark.
RISE CUP — 1vsAI (Closes May 16)
Challenge a competitive AI designed to push your skills to the limit in every match. Adapt, react, and control the pace of the game in a VR experience where every victory counts and every mistake can change the outcome.
Players who qualify for the RISE CUP FINAL will be able to train in a separate mode called RISE TRAIN.
CORE PLAY (NO RANKINGS) — 1vsIA
Instantly access the VSSoccer universe with no login, no ranking, and no competitive pressure. Jump straight into the game and experience the speed, immersion, and adrenaline of VR football in its purest form — immediate, accessible, and open to everyone. You will compete against our AI.
How to participate
Completing all of the following steps is mandatory to join the Closed Beta and be eligible for the prize pool. Without them, access to the competition will not be possible.
Step 1 — Register via the official form
Register through the form at befootball.world/events. You will need an active Meta account and must be logged in on your device. After registering you will receive a confirmation email with the next steps. We will require: Name and surname, email, meta nickname and birthdate.
Step 2 — Access the Meta Quest Release
Go to meta.com/s/7wG1Rxf0S and enter your Meta account details, as these will be required to compete. Once you do, accept the invitation to the official Release Channel on Meta Quest through the official email we will send you, from which you will be able to download VSSoccer for your Meta Quest 3 or Meta Quest 3S.
