On Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 7 pm CSP Artist Chat will feature three Haitian American film artists – guest moderator Nadhege Ptah, Conch Shell International Film Fest’s (CSIFF) founder/director Magaly Colimon-Christopher, and Haiti International Film Festival’s (HIFF) founder/director Jacquil Constant. They will be discussing the positive impact of collaborations between Caribbean arts organizations on creating sustainable networks in order to apply the voices of Caribbean filmmakers. The founders will also be discussing their organizations’ 2024 cross-promotional partnership plans. The chat will be live streamed on Youtube @conchshelliff

Magaly Colimon is a first-generation Haitian American actress/playwright/ director/producer. Her acting credits include television, film, and theater credits. She founded Conch Shell Productions Inc to develop, present, and produce new plays and films by Caribbean Diaspora & Caribbean writers who have a passion for innovative storytelling that inspires social change. Jacquil Constant is a Haitian American independent filmmaker with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Production and a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studieswith an emphasis on Pan-African Studies and Cinema Television and Arts from California State University Northridge (CSUN). In 2006, Jacquil established his own production company, Constant Production, which has various music videos, short films, and commercial productions to its credit.
