(YourDigitalWall Editorial):- Bossier City, Louisiana May 27, 2023 (Issuewire.com) – The Bossier City Bombers capped off the 2023 season as NLFA Champions defeating the Lumberjacks in a close 22-20 dogfight.
The Bombers’ offensive on-the-ground attack proved to be effective in the opening minutes of the first half but almost came crashing down as the Lumberjacks came fighting back in the second.
All season long the Bombers remained true to their identity hoping to dominate in a would-be shut-out championship game, but the Lumberjacks were determined and had plans of winning back-to-back titles.
Dubbed the comeback kids or “Jack Boys”, the Lumberjacks earned a frightening reputation this season with their numerous come-from-behind victories, making them the kind of team you don’t want to take for granted.
The Bombers came into this matchup highly favored with a record of 5-1 with both offense and defense ranked number one in the league, the team would be tested to see if they could outplay the defensive four-man front, and stop the run-pass offense to beat the Lumberjacks.
As the game progressed into what seemed to be a brutal chess match, time played the biggest factor as the Lumberjacks’ final drive of the game and chances of winning drive were derailed by seconds.
Most spectators and those who viewed the game stated that this was by far the best championship game played by the league since its inception. This type of feedback can only mean that the North Louisiana Football Alliance is headed in the right direction and has room to grow in the years to come.
