The Nintendo Switch wins the ‘Too Fragile’ award from the French Publication 60 Millions Consumers

60 Millions Consumers, the French Magazine has published a list of ‘Worst of’ company and product guide. They have offered to award cute rewards to each of the worst products in the forms of cacti. French publication 60 Millions Consumers named the Nintendo Switch as ‘Too Fragile’.

The award has been given to Nintendo due to the joystick drift that had afflicted the switch since its launch. And, to everyone’s surprise, the company hasn’t yet offered a solution to this problem. Since July 2019, the executives of the company haven’t charged the customers for sending their damaged controllers and also haven’t asked for any proof of purchase.

It was a kind of an agreement that was probably too late for some of the customers of Nintendo. The solution provided should have been enough until a permanent solution offered by Nintendo.

Well, sadly for the fans, it wasn’t and Nintendo didn’t.

The Nintendo Switch Lite was a huge success, but the Joy-Con Drifting put its ugly head in the scene again. This ultimately led to an FCC filing for a class-action suit against Nintendo by the users that we’re exhausted from the replication of Tokyo Drift across the ever-expanding library of games of Nintendo on both the new consoles.

Some videos were posted on YouTube that showed the tearing down of both the Nintendo Switch Lite Joy-Cons and the Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons. Both looked pretty similar besides the Nintendo Switch Lite consisting of a small metal casing. Some have remarked that Nintendo didn’t put enough effort into solving the issue that was a headache for them during the first release. The new videos of tearing down have shown the reasons behind the attempt of keeping the Joy-Con spring in place but are some are disinclined to care.

Since the Joy-Cons cannot be removed from the Nintendo Switch Lite, the users need to send the entire console for the repairing and need to wait for weeks to see the console again.

Despite this ugly scenario, Nintendo is doing pretty well and actually better than they had done since the Wii. Consoles and titles are getting sold out pretty fast and the stock of the Nintendo has almost tripled in the last five years. The gamers who can’t reliably plat the new assortment of games on the hybrid console, it is pretty doubtful that they care about anything else but enjoying the game.

There is also one thing to note that not everyone is complaining about the consoles. Some gamers are using their consoles since the launch without any issues.
