The Tenth Josie Music Awards Anniversary Show will have many exciting surprises, including the addition of the JMA’s Icon Award—the first recipient to be named in the upcoming months.

The first to be released is the addition of the JMA’s Icon Award, which will be presented for the first time this year at the Josie Music Awards Event on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at The Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee during the award ceremony.
We asked Co-owner Tinamarie what the Icon Award recipient would need to possess to win this award, “The JMA’s Icon Award will be presented yearly to a person who has exceptional talent and draws people from around the globe because they know who you are and what you do. They will be a person who breaks musical and social barriers with their voice and image. Their fans will love them because of their interaction and connection with them. Their career will have left a mark on the music industry within a genre, music period, or as a whole.”
Every year since its inauguration in 2015, there have always been surprise categories for the nominees. Will that occur again this year? “Yes, each year during reviews, our panel of judges will find exceptional talent in an area they feel should be awarded, so they add surprise categories to celebrate that talent,” Tinamarie said.
The JMA’s Icon Award recipient will be revealed in the upcoming months. Tickets to the event will go on sale at the beginning of February. Still to be released is the type of event and venue for the Anniversary Celebration to be held on October 26, 2024, the day before the award show in Nashville.
