Dr Carucci earned his medical degree and his doctoral degree from SUNY Downstate Medical School in New York City, New York. He then went on to complete his residency in dermatology at NYU Medical Center in 1998, followed by his fellowship training in dermatologic surgery at Yale-New Haven Medical Center in 2000. 

Dr Carucci is board-certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). The ABD is an independent, non-profit organization and one of the 24 medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). 

Dr Carucci is a member of the American College of Mohs Surgeons, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr Carucci has over 50 works published. He attributes his success to hard work and excellent mentors.
